Jun 30: Eclipse

Well... I took the day off today to spend time with my sister, but she ended up having to work anyway! Thankfully, dma was able to join me for an afternoon showing of Eclipse. Today also marks the official half-way mark of Simple Gifts... six months down, six more to go!

Today I found myself on the scenic Oregon coast. I explored the little town of Garibaldi & found this neat pier. Pretty cool!

Jun 27: Seahurst

Today's adventure was to Seahurst Park, a beachside park in the lovely suburb of Burien. The weather was not as nice as yesterday, but there was a nice gentle breeze.

Jun 26: iHeart Evo

I can already tell that today, June 26th, is a day that has signficantly changed my life. It is the day that I purchased my first smart phone. Finally, my need for constant google access, my musical ADD, my love of free stuff (apps in this case), and my indulgent addiction to Facebook have been fulfilled in one handy device.... oh and it makes phone calls, too. (Without a $30 hot pink rubber band, too!). oh evo... i think I am in love. yup.

Jun 25: Staycation Day 5

Today's destination was the Kitsap Peninsula. This is probably my most boring pic of the day... but I am posting this on the 28th... the end of the month is near! Check out Fantastico for the "real" pics from Frenchy's Gully or Cove or whatever it is called...

Jun 24: Staycation Day 4

Today was both productive AND laid back. Started the day by doing a little redecorating at home; productive, eh? Wrapped up the evening with a light dinner at Anthony's on the Everett waterfront with my mom & Katie, watching the sun set.... very, very laid back, eh?

Day Two of the Great Staycation of 2010 involved a little trip to the coast. It was Corbin's first trip to the ocean! Mom & I had sooo much fun with him on the beach; treasured memories by the bucket full. (Believe me... I have the pics to prove it! lol)

Jun 21: Staycation Day 1

Today was the first day of my nice, low-key vacation. I didn't have any particular place in mind; just worked out well to be out this week. Today's adventure was a leisurely drive up to Deception Creek up near Stevens Pass.

I forgot to take a picture of today's activities. Had a nice day, just enjoying a laid-back, serene, Saturday of errands & such. I think I will keep this "oops" pic handy incase I forget again!

Jun 18: Fluffay-fluffay

I haven't posted a pic of my kitty lately, so I figured I would take a few of her while she was sitting still (and awake). I got down on the floor to be at her level & snapped away. She is sooo much fluffier now that her teeth/gums have healed & she can eat like a normal cat.

Jun 17: New Lane! Sweet!

(Almost) everyweek day since mid-November I have had to swiftly merge onto I-405 from SR 522. I say swiftly because there has been constant road construction and they didn't leave much room for merging! Today, though... today was a nice surprise. They finished the lane, so not only is the dreaded road construction completed, but now I don't even have to merge onto the freeway... just stay in my lavish exit only lane. Sweet!

It took three bowls of rinse water before I could put those crunchy greens into my salad spinner.
(I think this is my second spinach post. my life is pretty exciting, no?)

Jun 15: Win Win

What to do, what to do... it was sunny out & I needed to work out & I needed to go to the grocery store. I could have driven to the river trail, did something called "yogging", then driven to the store... OR in true lolo fashion... I randomly logged one mile on my apartment's treadmill, then switched shoes & walked to the bank & grocery store. Workout? Check. Banking? Check. Grocery Store? hey.... check!

Jun 14: Circle of Life

Today, I celebrated the Great Circle of Life. With a bit of apprehension, I sold my beloved Nikon D80. Just like that chilly February night when I traded my treasured Rebel xti for the D80, today's exchange took place at a local Starbucks. The guy that bought it seemed really excited; it is his first dslr. He is heading up to Alaska soon. I think it is now in good hands. Fare thee well, little d80. You will be missed.

Today was the day it rained cats, dogs & kangaroos. dma and I avoided the showers for most of the day (yep, there is an app for that) and wandered in the rain shadow of Rasar State Park up near Rockport.

This afternoon was alll about running errands! My best purchase of the day was this frame for my cousin Tyler's graduation gift.

Today was bittersweet. We had a little sushi party at work today, which was pretty cool, BUT the occasion was sad... one of my friends at work will be leaving tomorrow to start grad school. See... bittersweet. Best of luck, Cole!

Today was pretty cool.... afterwork dma and I headed over to the blueberry fields. Its funny because in allll the years I have known him, we haven't ventured there yet. neat-o!

I took Sweet Pea to the vet today for one last check-up on her teeth. Thankfully, she won't have to have them checked again for three months :)
